Spiritual Strength and Real Freedom

I live with much Hope, filled with Faith in the Word of Christ, our Lord, and I truly believe in the power of spiritual healing, forgiveness, life guidance according to one's Faith, and an extended love for all humankind, particularly for those who live in oppression, poverty or ignorance.

God has an immense presence in my life and gives me my greatest happiness and peace.

I believe that there must be hope for all of us and I work very hard every day doing my best mainly with the hope of a better world where we can advance toward progress in harmony and peace. I also know that my Faith has guided me to be strong in life and to never abandon my mission, my vision, my happiness and my gratitude.

I try to move forward each day trying to make myself and what surrounds me better and better at each new step...

A very insightful book that has influenced me infinitely, that gives hope for a better world, that reveals the need for strength and conviction in the most difficult times, is the Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass. This touching autobiography tells the story of a man (the great Frederick Douglass) of immense interior strength who escaped the injustice of slavery, in a way that sets an exceptional example to anyone in pain, in fear, in oppression, in misery, in poverty, in ignorance. A message of wanting to break the chains that sometimes in hard times and in weakness maintain us bounded to real or fictitious boundaries; boundaries that we must overcome, for ourselves, and for others...

I believe that one must set his mind in noble dreams, noble missions, and work hard with the trust put in the Lord, whose infinite love and compassion will for sure appear in our way.

The feeling for a mission, the Faith in a Superior Ideal, is by far more powerful, life giving, life changing, when it is experiential and not just dogmatic, it must be felt and needed. The liberation from the bondage of tradition, prejudice, mediocrity and so on is not easy, it requires effort, heart and grace. A quote which was a favorite of Senator Robert Kennedy, and which summarizes many important truths, goes as follows:

"He who learns must suffer. And even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God." ---Aeschylus
