Pets

Ever since I can recall, I have loved pets and animals of all sorts. My favorites are dogs and cats. I have had wonderful interactions with german shepherds, in particular. They are very inteligent and loyal. I like their own (independent) judgements, their decisive and confident nature, I even like their once-in-a-while moody nature and their voracious appetite! They can be playful and tender (in games and with kids, for example), but they also can be tough and brave, qualities -all those- which I -in particular- find somehow hard to blend! I also enjoyed very much the company of a very hillarious female cat (named Bob, by the way) which I had the chance of meeting in Tucson. She would sneak into the house, wake me up sometimes, take over the place... accompany me to a can of tuna, with my favorite afro-cuban music background...

Casey, a female german shepherd I took care of (with much enthusiasm) for several months during my 1998-2000 post-doctoral stay in Tucson, at the University of Arizona.
